Hi I'm Chuck.

I started making marks on everything reachable before I can remember and I was a tenacious climber.  My targeting was quickly redirected at the time by my mother, but I still like a variety of surfaces.  I also like variety in media.  Drawing, painting, sculpture, writing, video, music, are all of interest to me, along with anything and everything that can be explored and played with including how my mind works.

I gradually realized, as my skills developed that sketching was a versatile and valuable tool for almost anything I was exploring.  Like most people, I started out by concentrating on details but eventually realized that details are not what convey the most important information in any concise communication.  With conceptual information, it is possible to think and communicate in principle.  With visual thinking and communication there are key elements that also quickly record a lot of information economically in principle.

As in all of the arts, with experience, emotional sophistication develops in Quick Sketch as naturally as in other gestural expressions.  Here we have a versatile capacity that is inclusive of our entire mental and emotional prowess in a form that facilitates learning curve maximization and patterns of integrated mind building.

I really like that!
